Hello all! So this is an introduction to one of my subjects which is.. the words in picture above. Excuse me if this is out of topic (but at the same time, it's also in topic), but I'd like to elaborate about my header picture above. I took that picture in New Zealand, I was in the car and that's a lake. And it was such a beautiful sight and not taking a picture would be a waste. I'm so glad I took a picture so I can savour every memory of it. I guess, or I feel, the picture has got to do with the nature side of the environment as you see the sky, trees, sand, water and other natural elements there that is in nature. I then infused nature with built by putting in a 3d-grid looking font to incorporate both elements together :)
Anyway, more on this subject.. it is one of six subject for my first semester. The main objective for this subject is to expose us to nature and to get familiar with it. After all, we are surrounded by it isn't it? I personally enjoy this subject as we get to go out and explore and observe the things nature has provided for us. It has opened up my eyes to small details that I never did notice.
I feel that for the Built Environment, is what us human being has put into the natural environment. Therefore this subject is to create a relationship between these two elements and also to preserve the natural environment. It shows and teaches us the importance for a good balance between the two elements to produce a suitable habitat for us human beings to harmonize with the natural environment that God has given us.
It also teaches us to not take fore-granted the things that nature has provided in order tend to our human needs. It teaches us to appreciate nature enough to think of creative ways and design to create a built environment!
About the coursework given for this subject, it is divided by 2 parts. Which is, "Nature" and "Built Environments".
